What is stored in your browser
If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
Client delivery pages also set one cookie when you sign in. It keeps you signed in on that page for about six months, cannot be read by page scripts, and is deleted when you sign out.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard technical data, such as IP addresses in server logs, to deliver and secure the site.
The questionnaire
The “See if we’re a good fit” questionnaire collects your name, email, optional website and notes, and your answers about your business, including revenue, profit margin, and creative budget. They are used only to decide whether cirfan can help and to reply to you.
Every submission, including ones that aren’t a fit, is sent to cirfan’s private Slack workspace. Slack is based in the United States, so your answers are stored there.
Submissions are kept only as long as needed to assess fit and carry out any project. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.
Client delivery pages
Active clients receive files on a private page at cirfan.com. For each page, cirfan stores the client’s name and chosen contact method, a salted hash of the page password (never the password itself), the delivered files, and an activity log.
The activity log records visits, password creation, sign-ins and failed attempts, sign-outs, clicks, previews, and downloads, each with a timestamp, IP address, and browser details. It keeps deliveries secure and gives both sides a clear record of what was delivered and when.
If an email address is set for update notices, cirfan sends one short email whenever new files are added to the page, but only after the page password has been created and the page opened. These emails are sent through Resend, a service based in the United States.
This data is stored with Supabase (database) and Cloudflare R2 (files), and may be stored outside Quebec and Canada. It is kept for the duration of the project and as long as needed as a delivery record, and is deleted on request or when the page is deleted.
If you email cirfan, your message and contact details are used only to reply and to carry out any project you start. They are not sold or shared for marketing.
